| I notice that K0MOS is to activate W7/SU-004 today. He will Tx on 2m FM at a height of 3741 Metres ASL. I can only dream of the fun it would be possible to have with a collinear on that summit. 73 Mike 2E0YYY |

| In reply to MM0FMF: Yes I understand this, Andy. I read some information on the summit. http://www.summitpost.org/manns-peak/150764 Nevertheless, I'd rather be experenting with a collinear on Manns Peak, than G/SP-013 Gun. 73 Mike 2E0YYY |

| In reply to 2E0YYY: Mike - come for a visit! Bring your hiking shoes. Don't worry about radio gear, I have all we will need. If you plan your trip to the days I have off, we can do 7 days of SOTA, and you can sleep in the bunk-house. I sleep out there when I am on night shift. No phone, no door bell, no arming dogs! That goes for any of you. Coming to America to tour the Desert Southwest, contact me. Last G-station that stayed in there was G3KFN. That was several years ago now, before I learned of SOTA! | In reply to 2E0YYY: The F/AB-015 Aiguille du Midi 3842 m is here close to Geneva, but the ticket up there is not very cheap. My 2 m packets from about 2000 m ASL reach a distance of 50 km typically - if they are heard at all. The ground wave propagation is probably missing from the mountain areas. 73, Jaakko OH7BF/F5VGL |

| I will try Adams [W7/MC-001] during the ARRL VHF contest. I do not think it will be that much of a difference being on 3700m than last year on 2000m. The location could help more I guess as it is in between Puget Sound and Portland area, thus more contact will be possible. Hopefully. I need a better aerial though :) and an LNA. |
